Design & Material

The Diatomite Stone Bath Mat in the Base design is a solid slab of diatomite, drawn as a flat, quiet plane for the floor beside the bath or shower. A stepped border of fine grooved lines frames the surface and runs out to a debossed Cavari wordmark in one corner. It measures 600mm x 390mm and is 9mm thick, with softly rounded corners.

Diatomite is a natural, porous stone formed from diatomaceous earth. Its open structure draws water from wet feet and the surface dries quickly, with no fabric to launder and nothing to hang up. Cared for simply, with a damp cloth and a light polish with the fine sandpaper provided, it keeps its absorbency for years.

Dark grey sets the mat as a deep, graphic plane against pale stone floors, the debossed detail catching the light across its surface.

The Diatomite Stone Bath Mat is guaranteed from the date of delivery against manufacturing defects in normal domestic use.

Diatomite is a natural stone, and some characteristics are part of the material rather than faults: a fine surface powder when new, gradual clogging of the pores with use (restored with the sandpaper provided), and staining from coloured liquids. The guarantee does not cover cracking or warping caused by use on a soft or uneven floor, a fall, underfloor heating, direct sun, heaters or soaking. Please follow the care and use sheet supplied with your mat.

To claim, contact us in writing with your proof of purchase and photographs. We will replace the mat if it is found to be defective. The guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights.

Delivery & Lead Times

The Diatomite Stone Bath Mat is delivered by DPD, Monday to Saturday, with an estimated delivery time of 3–5 working days. Tracking is sent by email once your order is dispatched, and a signature is required on delivery.

In-stock items are dispatched the next working day after order confirmation. Please check your order on arrival and report any damage within 72 hours, with photographs. Surcharges apply to the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, offshore islands and other remote postcodes.

Returns

You can cancel your order within 14 days of delivery for any reason, and then have a further 14 days to return the items. Pieces must be unused, uninstalled and in resaleable condition, ideally in their original packaging. You are welcome to open the packaging and inspect an item, but anything installed, used or connected to water or power cannot be returned, nor can made-to-order or bespoke pieces.

To start a return or exchange, open our returns portal and enter your order number with your email address or postcode, then choose the items, a reason and the outcome you would like.

Smaller items: the portal issues a tracked DPD shipping label. Change-of-mind return costs are yours to cover, so the label cost is deducted from your refund.

Baths, vanity units, shower screens and other pallet-delivered pieces: the portal will ask you to contact us. We arrange specialist collection, confirm the estimated cost with you first, and deduct the actual cost from your refund.

If you are exchanging for a piece of similar value, we cover the cost of the return, whatever its size. No restocking fees apply.

Refunds are made to your original payment method within 14 days of your return being received and inspected, including the standard outbound delivery charge. If an item arrives damaged or faulty, please tell us within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs, and keep all packaging so we can arrange a replacement.
